AUSTIN EDDY, US

Nato a Boston nel 1986, Austin Eddy attualmente vive e lavora a New York. Ha conseguito una laurea presso l'Art Institute di Chicago nel 2009.

L’artista realizza opere autobiografiche al confine tra figurazione e astrazione. Lavora con tecniche miste che comprendono pastelli, olii, cartonicini, pittura spray. Sono stati descritti come "Picassiani" per le forme spezzate e frammentarie che ricordano il Cubismo degli anni Venti. Questi lavori traggono ispirazione dalle relazioni personali dell’artista, che siano storie romantiche o l’incontro casuale con uno sconosciuto in un bar.

Eddy è stato  incluso in varie mostre collettive nazionali e internazionali tra cui "Buying Friends" tenutasi presso l'Urban Institute of Contemporary Art di Grand Rapids Michigan.
