Cellar Contemporary reopens to the public on Tuesday, May 11th, with "Floating Solo", the first solo exhibition in Italy by the South African artist Karlien De Villiers. Karlien De Villiers draws on the visual imagery of comics and illustration, which she uses to lightly convey committed messages. The works on display allude to the suspended sensation of floating, the artist's natural state, which is often found "sailing alone".
