PALINGÈNESI EXHIBITION BY ANGELO MAISTO
The second edition of "Colors," the contemporary art exhibition of the De Chiara De Maio Foundation, continues with the exhibition "Palingènesi" by Angelo Maisto.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge from December 16, 2023 to March 4, 2024.
Curated by Valerio Falcone, the exhibition presents nineteen works, including watercolors on paper and contemporary assemblages of everyday objects, masterfully transformed by Angelo into characters inhabiting an ideal world.
In his three-dimensional assemblages, these characters come to life in an extraordinary way, while in the works on paper they are incredibly vivid.
The exhibition is part of the "Codex Maisti": a new cosmos that becomes language and narrative during the different phases of the artist's production, with a flavor steeped in antiquity.
