Cellar Contemporary is pleased to announce a collaboration between Margherita Paoletti and Cantina La-Vis, where the young artist from Trentino has been selected from a pool of over 300 artists. Her portraits will decorate the labels of a special wine line called "Ritratti," comprising six different varieties. As Paoletti herself declares, "Wine is nothing but a liquid portrait of the land that generates it”, because whether red or white, wine tells the story of itself and the land that produced it, much like a portrait communicates many aspects of the person it represents. The artist was invited to the vineyards of Cantina La-Vis to observe the methods and techniques of viticulture, which provided her with greater inspiration and allowed her to witness firsthand the relationship between art and nature, as well as between art and science.
