CELLAR CONTEMPORARY AT THE INVESTEC CAPE TOWN ART FAIR 2026

For its fifth participation in Africa's leading contemporary art fair, Cellar presents artists Zana Masombuka, Filippo Rizzonelli, Daniele Tamagni, and Simone Tribuiani.

For this edition, we will be presenting artists who have already taken part in the fair, such as Zana Masombuka and Simone Tribuiani, but also some important new additions, such as the collaboration with the Daniele Tamagni Foundation. We will also bring a selection of works by Filippo Rizzonelli.

Our exhibition project at the Cape Town fair compares two artists who express themselves through the medium of photography to represent different aspects of African culture. Zana Masombuka, spokesperson for the Ndebele culture and its colors, speaks of a long local tradition whose artisanal beadwork techniques are its spokesperson. Daniele Tamagni, on the other hand, has captured the sartorial splendor and social environment of the African population, particularly Congolese gentlemen. His legacy places him among those who have contributed to changing our perspective on Africa.

Finally, we will present two Italian family artists from Cellar Contemporary: Filippo Rizzonelli, who through his refined natural scenes takes the observer to another place that shapes itself in the present, and Simone Tribuiani, who portrays through his paintings the impressions gathered during his stay in Cape Town in 2025.
