In today's world everyone can contribute to the construction of a collective imagery, creating and spreading the contents personally. The works of art are not distant and untouchable anymore, and the production of images no more represents a designated task for a specific group of people.
Regarding this topic Cellar Contemporary presents an exhibition that puts under the spotlight the image of the cat as an unexpected and manifold common thread. The exhibition is called "Meow Factor: Cats between Art, Media, Meme and A.I.” and wants to represent how in the post-digital visual culture the image of the cat keeps inspiring visual artists while colonizing the digital media's space, becoming this way an overarching icon shared by millions of users. Not only does the cat content create immediate closeness, but it also generates interactions and is particularly versatile.
Come to Cellar Contemporary to discover the Meow Factor, thanks to the artworks of artists as Gustavo Borzaga, Fabio De Meo, Karlien De Villiers, Joe Grillo, Misaki Kawai, Francesca Vanoli, Julia Runggaldier, Meowmeowaiart and to the exhibition curated by Carlo Chiusi.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from October 3rd to December 12th at Cellar Contemporary (TN)!
