The dress worn by the depicted subject was typical of The All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, (Komsomol) the organization that brought together the Soviet boys for the education of young people in the spirit of communism. The elongated nose, as well as the title of the work, symbolize the lie under which the over 200 million young people who played there over the years lived.
