Karlien De Villiers, with her bizarre characters who seem to come from the world of comics, pushes us to reflect on problems that are always present in our society with a biting irony.
In this artwork the artist presents us “only the lonely”, a female being who is alone and who looks intently towards the viewer, or perhaps towards the horizon, who knows, whit a melancholic look, in stark contrast to the warm and welcoming colors that characterize the work.
